Increase Your User Activity with Points, Badges and Status

Recently I wrote an article for Six Revisions called Increase Your User Activity with Points, Badges and Status which was published today. It discusses how (and why) we developed the points and rank system on Concept Feedback, as well as a look at a few other websites, like Stack Overflow, DropBox and Yelp!, all of which use some form of "game mechanics".
