Almost 500 minions!

Monday, June 15, 2009 | BY Aurimas

We're almost at 500 users. That's fantastic, but our goal is get to 5000, and then eventually millions, and then take over Iceland and only serve waffles at restaurants.

If you disagree with our tactics and ideology, please don't tell Iceland we're coming . We're pretty confident there are no people who dislike waffles, so at least part of our world domination plan should go smoothly. If you can - help us out. Post about the site on your blogs, share with your friends, invite that lame graphic design instructor and let us smack him around and tell him his designs suck. Or rock. Or that he would make a great general in our waffle army.

I've had a couple of hours today to get some work in and now CF can "remember you" if you allow it to. Should help you avoid that pesky sign in form and leave you more time to design logos with cute little unicorns and frogs. We love unicorns at DevBridge, especially the smoked pink ones that go well with horseradish and Coke.

I've changed the way comments are displayed - you should see them right away now, no need to click on the count. I'm also displaying the comment form below the comment list so it would be easier for you to remember who you're going to fling all your curses at. Or compliments, as unlikely as that might be.

Some things that are coming down the pipe:
1) Custom titles based on your points (duh, you though we wouldn't have titles? Come on, who wouldn't want to be "Darth Feedback" or "Captain Negativity". We might even award you with a prestigious announcement, and a little icon. I know, groundbreaking stuff.
2) Top concept showcases and weekly best concepts. Concepts with unicorns and waffles automatically get +50 rep.
3) Weekly design discussions combined with tutorials on how to improve chosen designs. While I'm on this topic - we're thinking of ways to create additional benefits for active members. I know scoring might not look like much right now, but besides converting it to cold hard cash in Iceland when we take over, you'll have additional rights and permissions on the site.

That's about it for now. Keep posting, keep reviewing. We started this site because our company internally thought that this type of tool would be great for us. We're glad it's getting noticed and other people can benefit from it.

site is looking good. I do have some feedback that I would like to give, do you have anything like http://www.siteremark.com setup or anything? That would help you get better feedback from your users?

Can you please allow us to upload a file in a review? it would be a big help for us to take someones concept and scribble a few arrows on it and then attach it to a review for them to see what i'm saying visually.

typing out the review is sometimes veyr difficult to put into words. and in terms giving advice on someone layout it's much easier to draw a few arrows on it in photoshop and send it back than to try to describe something in type.
